Two significant events took place today. Both, ironically, were bombings.

One was the deaths of four Syrian officials killed by a bomb planted, and remotely detonated, by the Syrian opposition. This proved to the world that these people are not going to take Syrian government’s tank attacks any more.

The second was an attack on a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria. This event brought back memories of the terrorist attacks of the 1970s. Back then Western Europe was being ripped apart by bombings.

Both of these attacks were directed at targets that would send messages. These messages were vastly different, but the outcomes maybe very similar. Both Syrian and Israeli governments will attempt to find the perpetrators.

However, considering the recent history, the Syrian government is most likely to find some civilians and kill them in retribution. While the Israeli government will do their best to find and punish the guilty.

Either way, these events will be worth following as they unravel in the next few days.
